From the desks of Ms. Christiane Amanpour and Ms. Megyn Kelly.
Early this morning, the congressional “final grades” were posted. Ms. Amanpour and Ms. Kelly met to discuss our disagreements with some of the grades. We believe some grades and commentary were given on the basis of personality, and do not accurately reflect the work these representatives have done.
Here are our updated, improved grades.
Kevin McCarthy: B-
You were a strong speaker and advocate for the bills you wrote and supported. You constantly reminded your party to remain professional in front of the media and constituents.
Scott Perry: A-
Though, at times, a little aggravated, you were educated and prepared to defend your legislation and remained calm under Omar’s fire.
Steve Scalise: A-
The work you completed during this session is commendable, you should be recognized for the position you were in. We could not see anyone else being Speaker. You remind entertaining as well as professional at the head of the chamber. You also stepped into the position as Chair of the Rules Committee. Well done Mr. Speaker.
Michelle Steel: B+
Your quick wit during the floor sessions were smart and persuasive. Your effort for cooperation during committee and caucus meetings was much needed during this session of Congress. Well done standing in as Speaker at the final floor session.
Judy Chu: A-
Matt Gaetz: B-
Though hard evidence of the work you contributed this session is dwindling, you were always prepared to speak for yourself and your party. It takes a strong voice to hold everyone’s attention. Surprisingly, you were very educated on all matters of legislation, even after openly admitting to not reading bills before entering committee debate.
Jim Jordan: C
Young Kim: B
Don Bacon: A-
Bacon, you were very impressive during the Foreign Affairs Committee meetings. You were always cooperative and portrayed bi-partisan effort. Work on paying attention during voting on the floor. Otherwise, we recognize you, well done.
Lauren Boebert: A-
Tweets.
Virginia Foxx: C
Shri Thanedar: C
